Stars and release cadence

Star counts and the latest tag come from the live fetch into gh.json at build time. Prefer the current stable tag that still ships libremines-*-windows-qt6.zip. Do not invent version numbers in copy.

Issues and contributions

Bug reports belong on the upstream Issues tracker. Ore Lantern only publishes install guidance. Patch the client upstream when you find a real bug.

Client source: GPL-3.0 or later. Share artworks: CC BY-SA 4.0. Cite upstream when you redistribute screenshots. Site mark grid-flag is original Ore Lantern geometry, not the upstream logo.

Desk habits for the repo URL

Write the repo URL and the preferred filename on the machine ticket. After every reimage, open Releases again instead of trusting an old zip on a USB stick. Prefer Qt6 assets when both series ship.

Lab images should pin Bollos00/LibreMines beside the OS version. Shared desks should refuse random forks that only rename the binary. Upstream remains the source of truth for Minesweeper builds this guide maps.

When README package doors change, update RESEARCH.md before you change site.config.mjs. Flatpak, AUR, and FreeBSD remain UNVERIFIED on this review date even when the README lists them.

When assets change

When a release drops an OS asset, pause imaging work and re-check the live list. Prefer the next tag that restores your primary filename rather than inventing a new download brand.

Keyboard play, dark themes, and custom fields are comfort settings. They come after a proven game on easy. First-hour checklists exist so desks do not chase Options menus too early.

Filename discipline

Write the exact LibreMines asset name beside the OS version before you image a lab. Prefer Qt6 when the tag ships both series so Windows zip desks match macOS DMG and Linux AppImage desks.

Only after one easy minesweeper game works should you open Options for themes or try a custom field. First hour: installed. First run: first run. Themes: keyboard and themes.
